Lesley Pinder is an award-winning director and writer with television and film experience based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. She tells emotive and character-driven stories that interrogate the human psyche and behaviour.
Lesley has directed a broad range of screen content including short films, corporate productions, and daily drama series for both UK and Australian television. Her short films have screened at film festivals worldwide and won awards.
Lesley recently directed a new short film, End Pointe. The film is a darkly comedic female-ensemble genre piece that explores access to the arts, women on screen, and the climate apocalypse. End Pointe premiered in early 2025 at Flickerfest International Film Festival in Sydney, and has since been selected for St Kilda Film Festival, Setting Sun Film Festival, and Revelation Perth International Film Festival.
Lesley’s 2022 short film, Breathe, achieved widespread recognition on the international film festival circuit, screening at 15 festivals including several that were Academy Award® qualifying. It was nominated for 9 awards and won 6, including Best International Short GOLD at the Cittador International Film Festival in Vienna, Austria.
