Community projects
Lesley Pinder is a socially-engaged filmmaker who also works as an artist facilitator and filmmaking mentor within community arts. She is particularly interested in engaging with marginalised communities and providing the tools they need to express themselves. She believes that empowering communities to tell their own stories can contribute to positive social change.
Lesley has worked with children and adults living with disability and neurodiversity, refugees, young people from newly arrived communities, homeless and socially excluded adults, at-risk young people, First Nations creatives, young people and adults with mental health issues, LGBTQIA+ young people, ex-offenders, young carers, elderly adults, and young people leaving the care system.
